Can you spare an hour or two?

We always need willing volunteers.  If you can offer to help, even for just a couple of hours on the day, please send an   e-mail to us.

The first Coleford Carnival of Transport was the brainchild of a local classic car enthusiast and resident of Coleford.  With the help of a few willing volunteers and the support of the local Councils the first Carnival was held on Easter Monday 1998.

That first Carnival was attended by around 250 exhibitors.  The vehicles were parked on closed roads in Coleford town centre.

Since then the Carnival has grown in many ways.  The early exhibitors were all individuals.  Club entries have been introduced to provide a broader view of individual marques.

In 2009 we welcomed over 600 exhibitors.  We are pleased that most of our individual exhibitors have been supporting the Carnival since it began.

The exhibition areas have expanded to cover most of the town centre.  The number of traders have also grown.

We continue to make changes to maintain interest and to improve the event.  A Craft Fair, Model Railway Exhibition and Food Fair all contribute to the fun of the Carnival.

And to make it easy to attend a Park & Ride service operates on the day.

We hope that you can join the thousands who enjoy the Coleford Carnival of Transport for years to come.
